In another one of those strange twists, the defense in the case of Casey Anthony, won one today, or did they?
Judge Strickland has stepped down from the bench after the Defense filed a motion to have him removed from the case after it was reported that he has been reading the blog by Marinade Dave and commented to Dave on the quality of his blog.
I think that sometime down the road the defense is going to realize that they had one of those "be careful what you wish for" moments and might wish they had not been quite so fast to get rid of judge Strickland.
Orange county has some VARY conservative judges and Strickland was probably the least conservative of all. He is also much more patient than other judges will be when it comes to the antics of Mr. Baez.
One thing that might come out of this is a big "do over."
It is most likely that the defense will get to file the motions that Strickland denied ALL OVER AGAIN, citing the bias of the judge that got him to step down to begin with.
So we all face having to go through the hearings from scratch and get to see Bozo in front of a less patient judge to boot.
It certainly looks like 2010 is shaping up to be a REAL interesting year.
